The Hebrew Academy values personal
creativity, kindness, and moral strength and
encourages their development in all aspects
of student life.
Students
B’nei Akiva, a youth group fostering a love of Judaism and Israel through social activities,
open to all students in the Lower, Middle, and High Schools;
Creative and performing arts, including a highly regarded drama program, and fine arts;
Student Council, with representatives from the Middle School and High School;
Publications, including a student newspaper and the yearbook;
Volunteer opportunities in the school, including peer tutoring, participation in events
such as the Institute for Jewish Medical Ethics and Sunday in the Park;
Sports and clubs, including Debate Club, Chess Club, Tennis Club, and Basketball. Students
are encouraged to organize additional clubs as the demand arises.
The school offers students a wide variety of activities beyond the
classroom, including:
Community service, with emphasis on neighborhood cleanup and
service within the Jewish community;
